Job Description

Your role will involve:

  • Working as part of a small office based Internal Sales Team which prides itself on providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Taking a pro-active approach to winning new business.
  • Regular contact with customers on the phone and via email, building strong relationships with them to develop existing and new business.
  • After appropriate training, advising customers on best choice of materials for their applications and providing relevant product and technical documentation.
  • Order entry and progressing of orders, both internally and externally.
  • Producing quotations for existing and new customers.
  • Supporting the business and Internal Sales Team and with price changes, sales projects, marketing initiatives and product launches.

The ideal candidate:

  • A 'hands on' attitude, flexible, and a desire to work within a small customer focused team where your contribution will make a difference to the success of the business.
  • Must be able to carry out assigned tasks with the minimum of supervision. Should have a creative and practical approach to problem solving.
  • Demonstrable experience in a Customer Service/Internal Sales role. Experience in a technical/manufacturing B2B environment would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and social skills to represent the company. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with customers and suppliers, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must have mathematical skills necessary to carry out basic costings and pricing calculations.
  • Competent IT skills in programmes such as Microsoft Office and Outlook. Experience of CRM programmes would be an advantage.
