Job Description

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Sales Support Executive to join our market leading client. The successful candidate will support the Sales Group with pre-sales customer support, including but not limited to quoting, pricing and delivery, product related requests and following up from our website and trade show leads by phone. The successful candidate will interface directly with distributors and customers via phone and email, and also support Outside Sales and Channel Managers in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to learn company products offering and become adept at answering questions from distributors and end users. Examples would include part number crossing, which device to propose based on networking equipment used, and commercial requirements including pricing
  • Ability to build rapport with internal and external customers and having a "customer first" attitude
  • Providing quick and timely support by telephone and email
  • Willing to work through issues while maintaining strong customer relationships and building trust over time
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and the flexibility to adapt to internal and external workflow
  • Responsible for working closely with the Customer Support team to ensure sales orders etc. are accurately processed
  • Adhere to company policy and work in line with the Company Quality Management System at all times

Skills and attributes required

  • Essential: an ability and aptitude for cold calling
  • Organized with high attention to detail
  • Customer service experience; demonstrable experience in delighting customers and matching their needs with company performance goals
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Preference: Knowledge of CRM, Intermediate level Excel/Office/email etc.
  • Willingness to assist in all areas of the business when required and flexibility to tackle any challenge head on
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Basic understanding of technology e.g. basic principles of a computer data network
  • Previous work experience in any of the following areas: Cisco based environment, Sales Support, Inside Sales, Optical Networking
