Job Description

Working closely with the Section Leader, inform them immediately of any unknown shortages or stock discrepancies, maintaining and updating stock systems, liaising with Engineering to update BOMs when errors are noticed during kitting, making sure the stores area is tidy and safe.

Always comply with health and safety regulations, maintaining a recycling scheme to minimise waste within the stores/goods in areas and gangways.

Responsible for the day to day coordination of the company stores ensuring all material are controlled & traced in accordance with company procedures.

Ensure timely delivery of materials and kits to the shop floor.

Oversea offloading deliveries, booking in, close monitoring of goods going into inspection and clearing in a timely manner.

Work Safely with all products and equipment, ensuring that all protocols and housekeeping, Health and Safety and S5 standards are met and maintained.

Take ownership of the stores facilities KPIs to, monitor team performance and productivity.

Document all stock variance's when found and report to the Logistics & Supply Chain Managers.

Manage training requirements to ensure people can work across all areas within the stores to ensure cover during periods of holiday and sickness.

Implement and maintain weekly cycle counts, making adjustments to stock systems where required and escalate discrepancies to the Logistic Manager.

Skills Required

Experience in a stores Supervisors role

Previous experience of Leadership/people management responsibilities from motivating employees to encouraging excellent performance.

Experience in warehousing, goods in and logistics.

Previous experience in cycle counts and stock control.

Experience and understanding of warehouse and stores MRP systems and processes.

Proven track record in operating an efficient stores facility.

Proven track record in service delivery and evidence of implementing improvement in stores practices to increase efficiency.

Ability to remain calm under pressure and to quickly process a situation, displaying sensitivity, assertiveness and resilience when necessary.

Strong team player, with a willingness to share knowledge and experience to inform your own and others' development.

Ability to work autonomously and use initiative, in line with guidance and processes.
