Objectives of the role
Learn to use the systems to enable you to effectively track and manage direct despatch order.
Work with the carriage team to ensure suppliers are turning around deliveries most effectively.
Ensure tasks originated from the call centre are efficiently managed to ensure swift responses to customers.
Run Daily reports to manage your despatch area and follow up with means necessary; ensuring suppliers are despatching orders within the specified time frame.
Develop a good relationship with all suppliers contacting them on a daily basis.
Keeping a strong communication with other departments to analyse and review any lines that need to be acted upon and ensure all correct procedures are followed.
Help identify any potential problems and any processes that can help maximise sales
Working on spreadsheets daily to ensure that all forecasting information is relevant and correct and that if any problems arise, it can be resolved swiftly and in a timely manner, informing those in which it affects.
